Fortunately, voters in and around the 4th District have many good conservative leaning candidates to get behind as we approach the general election on November 2nd.  These candidates will be in need of money and volunteers to spread their message and get out the vote (GOTV).  2010 is an important year for Republicans in North Carolina.  It’s time to pick a candidate you can support, get off the sidelines, and get involved.  No candidate can achieve victory on their own.  They need your money and your help. 

There are many great candidates across the state that deserve your support.  Below is a list of some of those candidates I will do all I can to help, and could use your help as well.

At this time in our history, as a country and a state, it is the conservative agenda that points the way towards greater strength and prosperity.  If more of us get off the sidelines to help, the more assured will be the success of conservative candidates in 2010.

I want to thank my whole team, especially those most deeply involved, for sacrificing so much of your time and energy to help get me elected. 

We ran a good campaign with a fresh perspective and the right message.  Myself and some of my core team will do the necessary analysis to find out where the campaign could have been stronger.  We’ll learn from the analysis and be a stronger team in the future. 

I’m not going anywhere, and my concerns for our great country are still high, so we’ll do this again. 

Over the next 18 months I’ll be speaking out advocating for conservative solutions to the challenges we face in Washington while reminding all who listen that American exceptionalism will win the day.  Be optimistic, Americans have overcome bigger challenges throughout our history, and we will overcome today’s challenges.

Over the past year we’ve seen the rise of the Tea Party movement, a massive intrusion into the private lives of American citizens by the Democrats in Washington, and conservatism regaining its rightful place as the basis for the values of most Americans. 

As the front running conservative candidate, it’s heartening to see more and more Americans, including those in North Carolina’s 4^th district, assert themselves and demand a federal government that works for them, lives within its means, and adheres to the Constitution.  The message the Roche for Congress campaign has been bringing to the 4^th district over the past year is one steeped in traditional American values:  personal responsibility, saving for the future, a hard day’s work for a hard day’s pay, unfettered free enterprise and the capitalist system, a good education for our young, a strong and well-funded military to honor our soldiers and veterans by giving them all they need, and putting America First unashamed and with pride. 

Conservatives recognize America has been on the wrong track for some time now.  We all know the Democrats in control of Congress and the White House have moved us further away from our historical pathway over the past 16 months.  We all know our system is under attack.  Tuesday, May, 4^th, is the day we get to say we’ve had enough and once again reclaim America and assure she keeps her rightful place as the greatest nation.

We must embrace the optimism that we can overcome the problems that confront us in Washington.  We can because they are self inflicted problems.  We simply have to put the right people in place to represent us with the proper understanding, the courage, the determination, and the willingness to say no; we will no longer continue on the path towards failure. 

With my expertise in economics and finance, I am uniquely suited to help solve the problems we confront and make sure optimism for a brighter future is assured.  It’s time for a new perspective, an American First attitude, and a certainty we can once again be proud of our federal government.

The time is again upon us to perform our critical role as citizens of a constitutional republic:  Vote!

Vote for Frank Roche in the Republican primary on Tuesday, May, 4^th and we will see the end of a 24-year liberal Democrat’s incumbency come November 2, 2010.

 NumbersUSA, a National Immigration Watchdog, Identifies Frank Roche as a True Reform Candidate

Apex, NC – May 3, 2010: “In North Carolina’s Fourth Congressional District, we have identified Frank Roche as a “True Reform” Candidate.  Frank Roche completed our Immigration-Reduction Survey and agrees with NumbersUSA on all our positions,” Roy Beck, NumbersUSA Founder said an in email to members.

Roche responded to the recognition, “I am appreciative for the support of NumbersUSA.  Their desire to enforce existing federal immigration laws aligns perfectly with my campaign.  I look forward to working with this organization to assure we replace the Fourth district’s 24-year incumbent.”

First created in 1952 and reaffirmed in 1988 as the first Thursday in May, National Prayer Day has been used by Presidents to issue proclamations for Americans to pray.  In 2008 a group of atheists from Madison, Wisconsin filed a suit against the federal government to put an end to this innocuous day, claiming it violated the separation of church and state as found in the U.S. Constitution. 

Of course, the Constitution doesn’t really say that, it states:  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”

The National Day of Prayer doesn’t say who should pray, how they should pray, or to whom or what they should pray.  For every major religion prayer is a key element of practice.  What is the risk to our society to do a little praying?  If you don’t want to pray, you don’t have to. 

Our Judeo Christian founding, the basis of our whole society, is not something to fear. 

Fortunately, Judge Crabb has not yet stopped the day; she is willing to await the completion of the appeals process. 

It sounds like a reasonable effort for a state, which for a long time has been on the front lines of the negative impacts of illegal immigration, given the unwillingness of the federal government to enforce federal immigration laws.

Not surprisingly, there is a loud uproar from immigrant advocacy groups, the left leaning media, economic sectors long dependent on the continued flow of cheap easily managed labor, and the Mexican government.  The New York Times has called the new legislation “mean spirited,” and claims Arizona “goes over the edge.”  The LA Times labeled Arizona, “A Hostile Arizona.”  Tourism, manufacturing, and agricultural executives, in support of industries that have long been employing illegal immigrants have come out to quickly suggest it will hurt their business.  Not because they won’t be able to get more low cost labor mind you, but that Americans won’t want to go to Arizona because it will make “people uncomfortable.”  Really?

The Mexican government issued a statement from their Foreign Relations Department saying the new measures “could have potentially serious effects on the civil rights of Mexican nationals.”  If they’re Mexican nationals they’re not American citizens.  Which is it?    

As if on cue, legislators of Hispanic descent from states across the country and in Washington have come down hard on the new measures with most calling for boycotts of Arizona and using racism as the their charge against Arizona lawmakers.  These types of knee jerk reactions focused on emotions and racism are standard responses from those committed to open borders, identity politics, and diversity based on skin color and culture. 

There is little question America needs to get tough on illegal immigration.  Across America, regardless of skin color, those lucky enough to have been born within the borders of this great country have to compete with illegal immigrants on the lower end of the wage scale and are losing.  When it comes to jobs, the environment, education, healthcare costs, public safety, and unity of communities, illegal immigration should be a key element of concern for addressing all of these issues.  The financial burden for our federal, state, and local governments is significant when it comes to illegal immigration, and must be addressed sooner or later. 

It takes courage to do what the lawmakers of Arizona are trying to do.  It’s common sense to put America First.  Let’s hope they can withstand the leftist attack that is coming, and brush off the labels of racism and xenophobia that will be hurled at them.  If they can, it will be a good example for the rest of American to follow.  It’s not about being anti-anyone; it’s about being pro U.S.A.
